VANDERBURGH COUNTY, Ind (WOWO) — Deputies jailed a 21-year-old Nebraska man after they say he drove drunk and ended up in a field late Saturday night.

Deputies found Mason Arnold about 30 feet off Old Green River Road around 11:20 p.m.

They say he was visibly intoxicated and urinating in the open, where drivers could see him from the road.

Investigators say Arnold smelled strongly of alcohol and appeared unsteady.

He reportedly told deputies he had been drinking “enough to end up in the field.”

Deputies later found more than ten empty whiskey bottles inside the vehicle, along with marijuana paraphernalia.
