Car Crash Leaves One in Critical

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A car crash on South Lafayette near Pettit Avenue leaves one man in critical condition and two others injured.

According to an eyewitness, the crash happened just after 6:00 p.m., that’s when the driver left the roadway and hit a tree. The witness also reported seeing the driver swerving prior to the crash.

There were three people inside the vehicle and they were each transported to a local hospital. The driver was transported in stable condition. One of the backseat passengers was transported in serious condition and the other backseat passenger was transported in critical condition.

According to police, it does appear as if alcohol was a contributing factor. In the meantime, the investigation continues.
