The Fort Wayne Fire Department says firefighters had a house fire under control in less than 30 minutes Friday night.

Crews were called just after 10 p.m. to a 3-story home in the 6100 block of Yellowstone Drive.

Fire officials say propane tanks near the home helped the flames spread quickly to the roof of the attached garage.

Firefighters launched what the department described as an aggressive interior attack while also searching the home to make sure everyone was out safely.

The fire was declared under control by 10:38 p.m.

Officials say one adult made it out of the home before crews arrived, and one pet was rescued from the house.
