ASHLEY, Ind. (WOWO): A Steuben County woman is in custody after an attempted poisoning.

25 year old Renee Mansfield of Ashley is held on $50 thousand dollars bond. Mansfield is accused of replacing her husband's medicine with rat poison.

Mansfield is charged with aggravated battery, possession of a controlled substance, both felonies and possession of marijuana.

The investigation was conducted by the Steuben County sheriff's department and Ashley Police department.
