Two Women Hurt in Moped Crash

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Two women are injured after crash involving a moped and a vehicle. Wednesday night around 11:00, Fort Wayne Police were called to the intersection of West Jefferson and Getz. When officers and paramedics got to the scene, they found two victims. Both were taken to a local hospital, one in critical condition, the other in serious. Investigators say the two women were riding together on a moped south on Getz and ran a red light at the intersection at Jefferson. The moped was hit by a vehicle going east on Jefferson. Neither victim was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. It is not believed alcohol is a factor in the crash.
