Angola, Ind. (WOWO): Residents in Steuben County can now report emergencies by text messaging.

Officials with Steuben County 911 announced customers with Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile and Spirit can use the service. 

The Federal Communications Commission is pushing to have all wireless carriers equipped with text-to-911 capability by the end of the year.
