Chain O’Lakes SP trail now accessible with power wheelchair

ALBION, Ind. (WOWO): Disabled visitors at a local state park will have more access to hiking trails.

Chain O'Lakes State Park has announced a specialized wheelchair for trails. The device, operated by a joystick, has a seat belt, arm and leg rests and is designed to handled difficult terrain with ease.

Right now its only operating on one of the trails, but work is underway to make the other trails more accessible.

The chair was a gift from the organizers of the annual Indiana Trail 100 race at Chain O'Lakes.
