FORT WAYNE Ind. (WOWO): A family is safe after a house fire on the 800 block of Eckart Street in Fort Wayne.

The fire was reported around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday after smoke was seen coming from the home. The three adults and one child occupying the residency made it out safely by the time crews arrived.

Police are still trying to determine what caused the fire. However, they are certain the fire started in a second floor bedroom.
