WARSAW, Ind. (WOWO): A Friday night house fire has left one person dead.

According to the Kosciusko County Police Department, Warsaw fire crews responded to the house fire shortly before 11:30 p.m., on E. Smith Street in Warsaw.

Once firefighters arrived they found one person dead and now the fatality is currently under investigation.

An autopsy will be performed early next week and it is believed that the identity of the victim will be released late Monday or Tuesday, once a positive identification of the victim has been made.

Meanwhile, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
