New Charges For Alleged Fort Wayne Cemetery Killer

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): New charges have been filed against a Fort Wayne man that's accused of murdering a woman in a cemetery.

Quinn Albers appeared in court this morning to hear those new charges, according to our partners in news at 21Alive. He's now charged with rape and abuse of a corpse on top of his murder charge.

Albers is accused of murdering 30-year old Katherine Gick in October 2014. Her body was discovered naked and burned with several items on it at a catholic cemetery on Lake Avenue in Fort Wayne. Albers was arrested nearby and was reportedly carrying a bag with bloodstained knives and Gick's photo ID inside.

The attorneys for Albers plan on pleading insanity.
