LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Indiana and Ohio have teamed up to compete to become one of six sites for testing drones for future civilian use.
 
  Fifty teams from 39 states are competing to host test sites for unmanned aerial vehicles. Industry experts say whoever gets picked will see an economic boost.
 
  There’s a push to adapt drones from military use to civilian duties like fighting wildfires. The sky is expected to be buzzing in the near future with pilotless aircraft. 
 
  That worries privacy advocates who fear ordinary Americans would be overzealously monitored by law enforcement.
 
  Ohio teamed with Indiana to increase both states’ odds.  There is budding drone activity in Ohio, most notably at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
 
  The FAA is expected to choose the six test sites by year’s end.
