New Department of Education Website Unveiled

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO): This afternoon, Superintendent of Public Instruction Glenda Ritz Unveiled a New Department of Education website. She says the site is designed to be a one-stop shop for educators, administrators, parents, media and citizens looking for information about Indiana schools.

The website can be found atwww.doe.in.gov

“In order to govern well and openly, we need to make it easy for citizens to see what we are doing,” said Superintendent Ritz.  “During my first months in office, I regularly heard from Hoosiers that were looking for easy access to information about our schools.  With this new re-design, we have made information more readily available and intuitively searchable.  However, this process does not end today.  As we get input from Hoosiers on the new site, we will be constantly working to improve it.”
