INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Residents in Indiana won't get to celebrate a welcome warm-up from the harsh, snowy winter for long.
National Weather Service meteorologists say temperatures that could hit the 50s and 60s on Thursday also could bring two other spring-like hazards: high winds and flooding.
Indiana is under a slight risk for severe weather Thursday as a cold front pushes through. But flooding is another worry. Forecasters say up to an inch of rain could fall on frozen ground still covered by melting snow, triggering mild to moderate flooding.

Meteorologist Marc Dahmer in Indianapolis says high winds are more of a concern in the southern half of the state.
He says sustained winds of 20 to 25 mph and gusts of 60 mph are likely and some weak tornadoes are possible.
