SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP): Police in South Bend say a 2-year-old boy was fatally shot while playing in the front yard of a relative's home. The shooting happened Wednesday evening in a neighborhood a few blocks south from the University of Notre Dame campus. St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit Lt. David Wells says the boy was playing outside with an older sister when he was shot in the chest.
