Indiana Man Charged with Attempted Feticide

ANDERSON, Ind. (AP): A central Indiana man charged with attempted feticide allegedly told officers he mixed a medical herb that can cause miscarriages into a pregnant woman's drinks because he wasn't “in a position to have children financially or mentally.”

Twenty-five-year-old Jarod Rebuck of Elwood was formally charged Wednesday with attempted feticide during a video court appearance from the Madison County Jail.

He was released after posting bond.

The woman told police she drank two strange-smelling beverages Rebuck prepared for her on Dec. 24.

Court documents say Rebuck told officers he placed a medical herb in the woman's drinks that can cause miscarriages and said he wasn't “in a position to have children financially or mentally.”

Rebuck's attorney did not immediately return a message left Friday seeking comment.
