Police Identify Teen in Fatal Shooting in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (AP) _ Police in Indianapolis have identified a 15-year-old boy who was found shot to death in the doorway of an apartment building.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says Daniel Neal Burns was found with a gunshot wound in the doorway of the Kingsford Drive apartment at about noon on Saturday and later pronounced dead at the scene. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police spokesman Lieutenant Rick Riddle says there had been no reports of shots fired or suspicious activity before police received the report that the teen had been discovered in the doorway.

His death is being investigated as a homicide.
