Bids for New Haven School Expansion Begin in February

NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WOWO): An update on plans to make an addition to a New Haven school:

The East Allen County Schools board met Tuesday night and learned that bids for a $1.8-million upgrade for New Haven Primary School will be accepted in February and awarded in March.

The Journal Gazette reports the upgrade is for a special education preschool wing, to be built on the northeast side of the building. The plan is for that to replace Park Hill Learning Center, which the district wants to tear down, dependent upon passage of an $87.5 million referendum in May

The new wing would serve about a hundred students.
