INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): We'll find out Tuesday if Northeast Indiana is selected to share in $84 million in funding from the Regional Cities Initiative.
The program is the work of Indiana's Economic Development Corporation and Governor Mike Pence.
It's intended to lure new jobs and ignite population growth. The Regional Cities Initiative seeks to make that happen by investing in quality of life projects.
South Bend and Evansville are also in consideration for the matching funds.
The Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership comprises 11 counties. Each county has earmarked projects.
