FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A group of people held a small demonstration to support the General Electric campus in Fort Wayne Wednesday.

The Journal Gazette reports that about a dozen people held a small rally lobbying for the preservation of the GE campus.

The demonstration comes a month after GE announced plans to sell the campus, leaving things open for potential reuse or redevelopment, with a preference for proposals using the entire campus and a July 15th deadline for submissions.

The group wants the campus preserved or restored, perhaps for use as an art gallery or revamped for use in the manufacturing industry.
