NWS to send crews to investigate tornado reports

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): There were more than two dozen tornado warnings issued for yesterday’s storms, but the number of actual tornadoes the area saw could be a lot less.

Meteorologist John Taylor of the National Weather Service tells WOWO News they’ll be sending out teams today to see what they can find out.

“That’s the kind of thing we can’t really confirm until we go out and see where the track is, where it started, where it ended.”

One confirmed tornado did serious damage in Kokomo, and at least several others were confirmed via radar. Read more on the storms here.
