KOKOMO, Ind. (WOWO): The American Red Cross has deployed volunteers to help with cleanup and relief in Allen and Wabash Counties after yesterday’s destructive tornadoes.

The Red Cross has also opened shelters in Kokomo and New Ross, which were among the hardest-hit communities by the storms. Regional CEO Chad Priest says the organization is “committed to supporting residents in affected areas.”

“We will continue to work together with our Red Cross volunteers and our partner agencies making sure people have their basic needs and know the Red Cross is always there,” Priest adds.
