General Motors plant evacuated because of chemical spill

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Employees at the GM Assembly plant were evacuated Friday morning because of a chemical spill.

A spokesperson for the company said windshield wiper fluid was spilled in the “GA” section of the plant. No one was injured, but the company evacuated as a precaution.

The plant was evacuated shortly before 11 a.m. An all clear was given at 2:45 p.m.
