Shooting on Kenwood Ave. leaves man in critical condition

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Tuesday night shooting on Kenwood Avenue has left one man in critical condition.

Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department were called just after 6:00 p.m., Tuesday to Parkview Hospital in reference to a shooting victim arriving to the emergency room.  The victim, a man, was alert and conscious when he arrived.  He told doctors he was shot in the 2500 block of Kenwood Avenue.

Officers responded to that location and did find evidence of a shooting. Detectives are currently interviewing potential witnesses in the neighborhood, but currently no suspect information has been made available.

The victim was last reported to be in critical condition and he was immediately transferred to another local hospital for medical treatment. Meanwhile, an investigation is underway.
