FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A trial date has been set for a man accused of the murder of a Fort Wayne football coach.

24-year-old Henry Underwood will face trial on January 8th for the death of 36-year-old Terrance Miles.

Prosecutors say Miles, who was at the time an assistant coach at North Side High School, caught Underwood and 22-year-old Jaevin Bowie trying to steal from cars parked at the East Central Towers apartments on May 19th of last year, and Underwood shot him in response.

The Journal Gazette reports Bowie pleaded guilty last month to assisting a criminal and attempted theft.
