A Fourth Custer Arrested in Fort Wayne Mafia Scam

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Another arrest has been made in a Mafia scam where a family was forced to pay money to who they thought were people related to the mob.

26 year old William Custer Junior was arrested Thursday and is charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and forfeiture. Custer joins three other siblings charged in the scam.

The Custer family is accused of acting as go-betweens between a Fort Wayne family bilked out of $1.5 million over the course of six or seven years and the Mafia.

The Custers are not linked to the Mafia.
