Accused Cemetery Killer Declared Competent for Trial

A man accused of murdering a woman in a cemetery last year is competent to stand trial.

Quinn Albers was back in court this (Friday) morning as a judge heard the results of his psychiatric evaluation. Three doctors declared him competent, according to our partners in news at 21Alive.

Both prosecutors as well as Albers' defense accepted the results and a trial date has been set for October 6th.

Albers is facing charges of felony murder, abuse of a corpse, and rape for the October 2014 killing of 30 year old Katherine Gick at the Catholic Cemetery in Fort Wayne.
