Allen County Election Board Removes Candidate from Primary Ballot

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): The Allen County Election Board has removed a candidate from the primary ballot.

The panel, ruled that John Roberson was not qualified to run for mayor for Fort Wayne as a democrat. According to campaign law, Roberson did not vote in the last primary as a democrat and wasn't endorsed by the party.

David Roach, a democrat candidate for mayor, issued ballot challenges against eight other candidates including Mayor Tom Henry and current public safety director, Rusty York, who is running for city council.

Roach leveled allegations including paperwork errors, residency issues and having criminal records. All the claims were dismissed with the board chiding Roach for lacking evidence to support his claims.
