FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Allen County Redevelopment Authority has had its first official meeting, and they've already got a project in mind.

The Authority approved a $1.9-million loan agreement yesterday for road improvements for Diebold Road, which runs through Fort Wayne and into an unincorporated part of town. The Journal Gazette reports the deal calls for the city and Allen County to work together, but also makes sure any taxes captured for the project stays with it, in case the city annexes that area. 

The improved road will be useful for a recently-approved Tax Increment Financing, or TIF, district for Dupont Corner.
