Allen County residents can now sign-up for County Dust Control Program

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) – Allen County residents can now apply for dust control elements to be added to their stone or gravel roads.

Residents can choose from two options – either Dustay, an asphalt emulsion, or calcium chloride. The County Highway Department will charge $2.10 per linear foot for the Dustay, while the cost for calcium chloride will be $1.15 per linear foot.

Either option requires a minimum 200-foot application.

Applications will be accepted now through April 30 at the following locations:

  • Highway Department Main Office
    • 200 East Berry St., Suite 280
    • Weekdays from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • North Maintenance Facility
    • 2234 Carroll Rd.
    • Weekdays from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • South Maintenance Facility
    • 8317 Tillman Rd.
    • Weekdays from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Residents can pay by check or money order only.

For more information, call the Highway Department Main Office at (260) 449-7369, the North Main Facility at (260) 449-4781, or the South Main Facility at (260) 449-4791.

The Highway Department will schedule suppliers to begin placing the dust control materials after May 1, weather permitting.
