AMARILLO, Texas (AP): Amarillo police say they’re on the scene at a Walmart store amid reports of an armed person inside who may have hostages.

The Amarillo Police Department released a statement late Tuesday morning urging residents to avoid the area. Police didn’t immediately say whether anyone was hurt or what prompted the incident.
