Delhi, Oh (WOWO)– Authorities report a man is facing charges after allegedly stealing an Amazon delivery van while the driver was still inside.

Security footage captured the suspect, 35-year-old Ryan Burke, driving the van down a neighborhood street. The delivery driver remained inside during the incident but was unharmed according to WTVG.

In a 911 call, the driver can be heard describing how Burke threatened him while demanding he exit the van. The driver told the operator, “He just said ‘I don’t want to hurt you. Just get out,’” and recounted that Burke indicated he did not want to take hostages.

Police say Burke led officers on a brief chase before being taken into custody. Court documents show he faces charges of receiving stolen property and failure to comply with a police officer’s order.

The incident remains under investigation.
