Angie’s List plans $40M Indianapolis Expansion

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ The consumer review service Angie's List says it plans a $40 million expansion of its Indianapolis headquarters and adding 1,000 jobs to its workforce in the next few years.

Company officials announced Tuesday it would buy and renovate an old Ford manufacturing facility next to its current headquarters campus that's now owned by the Indianapolis Public Schools. The project will also include construction of a 1,000-space parking garage along Washington Street.

Officials say more than $25 million in state and city incentives will go toward the project.

Angie's List has lost money since going public in 2011 as company officials say it has focused on expanding and marketing the business.

The company says the new jobs will include information technology, sales and customer services positions
