Zoeller says Hoosiers have unclaimed property waiting to be claimed and on Tuesday, he'll announce just how much money is in the database that can be traced back to residents in northeast Indiana. He'll also talk about how it can be claimed.
The Attorney General will also discuss his opposition to legislation that he believes could take away homeowners’ rights to settlement conferences to avoid mortgage foreclosure. The settlement conference helps homeowners prevent foreclosure, but a bill moving through the Legislature might wipe out that process and the Attorney General is urging lawmakers to stop the legislation and keep the settlement conference process in place.
The Attorney General will be in town at 3:00 p.m., and will hold his press conference at the Indiana Tech Law School located on E. Washington Boulevard.
