Biosafety Measures Vary from Indiana Farm to Farm

SPENCERVILLE, Ind. (AP): Amid a virus that has killed millions of baby pigs in less than a year, Indiana farmers have taken steps to protect their herds. Bruce Laub, who has a 9,500-head hog farm in DeKalb County, told the Auburn Star that preventive steps are necessary. If people want to come see his pigs, he has them do it during the summertime when there's more air movement and less risk of introducing viruses.
