INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Firefighters and an animal control officer rescued a boy's puppy after it fell into a storm drain in an Indianapolis neighborhood.
 
       Eleven-year-old Nestor Rodas says he was riding his bike Tuesday when he saw the puppy named Lassy fall into a sewer opening along the street on the city's east side.
 
       Nestor tells The Indianapolis Star he at first could hear her barking and the bell on her collar jingling in the sewer. But then, nothing.
 
       Firefighters lifted three sewer lids but couldn't find Lassy. They flushed the storm pipe with water and climbed into the drain but didn't spot her until shooting more water into the sewer.
 
       Fire officials say the animal control officer snagged the puppy with a net rigged on the end of a long pole.
