Clarksville Museum Closing for Renovation

CLARKSVILLE, Ind. (AP) _ Work is about to start on a $6 million overhaul of exhibits at a southern Indiana state park's center that showcases the region's geography and cultural history.

The Falls of the Ohio Interpretive Center is closing after this weekend for dismantling of its current exhibits and construction of new ones in a project scheduled for completion by next fall.

The Falls of the Ohio Foundation held a celebration dinner Tuesday at the center in Clarksville during which drawings of the new exhibits were on display.

Foundation president Diane Swank tells the News and Tribune that the museum's current exhibits have been in place for 20 years and she believes visitors will be amazed by the new ones.
