Colts Camp Gets Raves, But City Comes Up Lacking

ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) _ Visitors to the Indianapolis Colts training camp at Anderson University are raving about the campus, but few are finding any reason to spend time or money in the city once they arrive.

That's disappointing news for the city that fought to bring back the team in hopes it would provide an economic boost to surrounding communities.

Fans tell The Herald Bulletin the Anderson camp is more convenient than the team's previous camps in Terre Haute. But they say the struggling city doesn't offer any reason for them to stay once camp is over.

This year's mild weather has boosted attendance. About 1,000 fans turned out for Tuesday's practice.
