Convicted Rapist Charged with Attempted Escape

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): As if 90 years in prison wasn't enough, now a Fort Wayne man is facing additional felony charges.

38-year-old Roger Carlson was sentenced to 90 years in prison in July for a 1999 kidnapping and rape, but new court documents filed this week show he's now facing felony escape charges.

Online court records say that Allen County jail staff found a hole cut through the window in his cell; he had apparently been caught trying to finish the job on the hole.
