Fort Wayne fire crews battle morning house fire

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Just after 6 a.m. Sunday morning, Fort Wayne firefighters were called to a home on Fletcher Ave., east of S. Anthony Blvd., on report of a house fire. When crews arrived to the scene, they say heavy fire was coming from the front of the single story residence and spreading throughout the attic. Crews searched the home and found that it was unoccupied.

The fire was placed under control 20 minutes after the first crew arrived. No injuries were reported, and the fire’s cause remains under investigation. The home sustained heavy smoke, fire, and water damage.
