Deadly I-469 crash victim identified as Ossian woman

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The woman killed in a crash Monday night has been identified by the Allen County Coroner’s office.

Beth Ann Harmes, 45, of Ossian, died of blunt force trauma. It’s still unknown if she was wearing a seat belt and the incident as been ruled an accident.

Harmes was driving southbound on northbound I-469 near Fort Wayne’s General Motors plant around 7:30 p.m. Monday night when her car crashed into a guard rail.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.
