Dozens Move out of Flooded Apartments

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – Dozens of people have been forced to move after Friday’s torrential rains flooded their ground-floor apartments.

Many residents of the Black Bear Creek Apartments worked throughout the weekend to salvage whatever belongings they could from their homes.  The company that owns the complex says inspectors determined 60 units needed to be vacated because of contaminated floodwater. The complex owner, Jerry Collins, says it could take at least a month to replace ruined carpet and drywall
