AUBURN, Ind. (AP) _ The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum in northeastern Indiana has broken its $4.8 million fundraising goal a year ahead of schedule.

The money will be used to create new education programs as well as pay for construction of a new exhibition plaza across the street from the museum in Auburn, 20 miles north of Fort Wayne. The plaza is expected to be completed by August.

Some money raised through the campaign has already been used to preserve automobiles in the museum's collection. Forty touch-screen kiosks are planned throughout the museum granting access to the museum's archives, as well.
