Duo Rescued from Flood Waters

LAFAYETTE (WOWO): Firefighters have rescued two men after their canoe struck an underwater obstruction and overturned in the flooded Wabash River. The 23-year-old and 18-year-old men were found beneath a bridge yesterday evening by Lafayette fire crews. Conservation officers say the current was too fast for those canoeists to reach the capsized vessel.
