Flooding Continues to Plague Indiana

FORT WAYNE (WOWO): Most of listening area remains under a flood warning, but in Fort Wayne,is drying out. Fort Wayne streets have re-opened. Other parts of the state also battling high waters.

In Arcadia, two people drowned when their vehicles were swept away in a flooded creek. The Tippecanoe River in northern central and northwest Indiana bracing for the worst, as is Western Indiana around the Wabash River.  In Terre Haute, city officials are watching their over-stressed leevees. Emergency workers are preparing to force evacuations.

In Central Indiana, Governor Mike Pence spent Sunday reviewing flooded areas by helicopter.  He’s expected to request federal disaster relief from FEMA.
