FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The man chosen to be the next Superintendent of East Allen County Schools has already been replaced.

Two weeks ago, East Allen University Principal Doug Hicks was named the EACS board’s pick to take over as superintendent, but now he’s withdrawn his name, according to the Journal Gazette. A reason why was not immediately made clear.

The board held a news conference Monday to announce that Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education, Marilyn Hissong, will now be taking the reins.

The board has been looking for a replacement for Ken Folks ever since he announced his retirement, which took effect June 30th.
