FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): An 88-year-old Fort Wayne woman died Tuesday morning after an ATV crash.

The Allen County Coroner’s Office said 88-year-old Margaret Fick died from blunt force trauma. Her death was ruled an accident.

Emergency personnel responded to the 7600 block of Washington Center Road at about 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, according to our news partners 21Alive.

An elderly couple went on an ATV to spray weeds. The ATV came too close to a ditch, tipped and pinned the woman, DNR officers said.  A farmer found the couple on Tuesday morning.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and the man was hospitalized in critical condition.

It’s not clear when the crash happened.
