Man found burned in Fort Wayne fire identified

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Allen County Coroner’s Office has identified the man found burned after a fire in an alley on Wednesday morning.

The Allen County Coroner’s Office said a 35-year-old Fort Wayne man was pronounced dead at 2:22 a.m. Tuesday. His death was ruled a suicide. He died from smoke inhalation and thermal burns.

Crews were called to an alley in the 1000 block of Kinsmoor Avenue at about 2:10 a.m. They originally thought there was a trash can on fire.

Emergency personnel found the man was also on fire.
