FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A 5-year-old boy is left with serious injuries after his father beat him with a belt. 

According to the Journal Gazette, 41-year-old Vonlee Kizer was charged on Thursday with two counts of felony battery.

There were several witnesses who saw the beating. 

The boy told police he was beaten by his father for losing a scarf. He suffered from bruises on his spine, hips, and face.
