FBI searching for man with warrants out of Fort Wayne, Texas

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – A $25,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of a man with active warrants both locally, and out of Texas.

Juan Alberto Mendez, 46, is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall and approximately 189-250 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes, and may be using one of several aliases.

Our partners in news at ABC 21 report Mendez is charged in Fort Wayne with narcotics distribution, and in Texas with kidnapping, racketeering and murder.

He has been wanted in northeast Indiana since September 23, 2015 on charges involving distribution of heroin, cocaine and marijuana.

Anyone with information regarding Mendez or his whereabouts is asked to call the FBI’s Indianapolis Field Office, Fort Wayne Resident Agency at 260-426-5331.
