Flood Warnings Extended Until Monday Night

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): The National Weather Service has extended flood warnings for 30 counties across central and southern Indiana until 8 p.m. Monday.

The weather service says water running off from heavy weekend rains and snow melt will continue to cause flooding of small creeks and streams and cover some highways, roads and underpasses. In Indianapolis, high water covered part of a shopping center on the city's northeast side and completely covered all lanes of a portion of Fall Creek Parkway, a major thoroughfare, on Monday morning.

Some of the other locations covered by the extended flood warnings are Muncie, Anderson, New Castle, Shelbyville, Martinsville, Bloomington, Columbus, Seymour, Terre Haute, Vincennes and Greencastle.

Three to 7 inches of rain have fallen across central and southern Indiana since Friday.
